"Giff is always here & ready to go before the sun rises! Animal!"
We get these 3 or 4 weeks of really stable conditions here in early September just before the temp starts to drop. It's like jet stream & ocean currents are slack while they decide our fate for Fall & Winter. Great flying. |

"I'd shmile mere burt da micrifone esz en my mourth..."
Paul is going to be an excellent pilot. One of the fastest learners I've had in about 3 years. But, I wouldn't want him to know that. ; ) |

"Tom's New Plane!"
I'm not a big Airborne fan, but sometimes there's certain planes for certain people & there's no getting around it. So we got Tom an Airborne Tundra. But, we put a Northwing Strutted wing on it for portability. Nice plane.

"Ron's Solo Flight!"
"A family affair!" Ron was the first of 3 family members learning to fly trikes here in Cheney to solo! Congrats Ron! I've seen many talented machinists come through my school & the gizmos they make - but Ron, a blacksmith, comes up with some of the coolest stuff yet.

"Lauren's 2nd Flight!?
Lauren's 2nd flight - but already in the front seat! Not bad for an attorney. : ) I figured she'd rather sit in the back, relax & spin the hits on the iPod but I was wrong - she'd rather just go ahead & fly the damn thing.

"Tom's 5th Lesson!"
Fall flying is alway pretty fun. 4 or 5 hours of cold, stable air to go cruise around in. Covered over 140 miles of Eastern WA & North Idaho this afternoon while Tom settled in. |

"FAA Inspection"
Passed our second of three inpections by the FAA. After flying it for 30 min without a headset, it is quite possibly the quietest aircraft ever built for the recreational flyer. Yes, that's an afro.

"Ordean - C'mon, it ain't gonna fly itself..."
He'll smile for the picture - but we're 'burnin daylight'... Farmers & equipment operators always learn fast. By the way, I see that Idaho has legalized airborne varmit control for ranchers. Nice.

"Just yell "24 Hour Pack" at the Pike Street Market... ...and duck."
Every trip to Seattle requires a stop at Pike Street for a 24hr pack of crab & oysters... I know, it only takes 5 hours to get back home, but it takes 10 hours to find your truck then sit in 1-5 traffic...

"A Happy Don"
Finished delivey & orientation with Don's new trike. Don already flies every other category & class of aircraft - so this will be a great addition...

"Port of Seattle!"
Off to the Port of Seattle to clear customs & pick up a trike... Gonna be a long day of driving, paper shuffling, then driving again... Gonna finish off an audiobook though - Howard Zinn's 'A Peoples History of the United States'... Interesting.

"Sandpoint, Idaho"
Just rolled into Sandpoint, Idaho to pick up Royce's Tanarg for an Annual Inspection. Damn, there's enough room in this hangar to fly around... Then again, I can't imagine Royce doing anything 'small'. What is really cool though is that ther isn't a spec of dirt anywhere. His other airplanes are immaculate too. Well done.
